Responsibilities

  • Participate in requirements refinement, agile ceremonies, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Analyze requirements and define test scenarios, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and quality risks.
  • Design, execute, and maintain functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and API tests.
  • Create and maintain automated tests for high-value backend scenarios and execute existing automation.
  • Validate service behavior, API contracts, error handling, logs, data consistency, and backend workflows.
  • Identify, document, track, and report defects, test results, and quality risks.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to resolve quality concerns early.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis, preventive improvements, QA process improvement, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Experience as a QA Engineer, preferably in backend, platform, or technical product teams.
  • Strong experience testing APIs, services, integrations, and backend workflows.
  • Experience creating and executing automated API and backend tests.
  • Solid understanding of functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and acceptance testing fundamentals.
  • Ability to derive test scenarios from requirements and identify main flows, edge cases, and quality risks.
  • Knowledge of HTTP, REST APIs, status codes, authentication, request/response validation, and API contracts.
  • Intermediate knowledge of database validation, debugging, and log analysis.
  • Experience with test management and bug tracking tools such as Jira or Zephyr.
  • Familiarity with automated test execution in delivery workflows and agile environments using Scrum, Kanban, or similar methodologies.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, organization, proactivity, and accountability.
  • Preferred experience with contract, performance, reliability, or security testing; cloud environments; containers; Kubernetes; distributed systems; event-driven architectures; asynchronous workflows; observability tools; release risk assessment; root cause analysis; and mentoring junior QAs.
  • Intermediate English communication skills are preferred.
