AEM Developer

- Lead the design and development of reusable and customizable AEM components, templates, and complex workflows.
- Perform AEM architecture work including content modeling, Sling and OSGi development, and deployment management.
- Customize AEM through APIs and extension points to meet business requirements.
- Implement AEM Schemas, metadata, and ACLs to support data integrity and secure content access.
- Develop responsive, front-end-heavy components aligned with Figma design systems and React or Angular frameworks.
- Integrate AEM with CRM, marketing platforms, and other external systems using REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Optimize performance through ClientLibs management, Dispatcher configuration, caching, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Manage Git repositories and version-control workflows and support CI/CD processes.
- Provide technical leadership, participate in Agile rituals, collaborate across teams, and coach junior developers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience with Adobe Experience Manager, including deep expertise in AEM 6.5 architecture, Sling, OSGi, and JCR.
- Strong Java development experience and proficiency with HTL, Sling Models, and AEM Core Components.
- Advanced front-end development skills with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Experience with AEM customization, APIs, extension points, templates, workflows, integrations, schemas, metadata, and ACLs.
- Hands-on experience with GraphQL, REST APIs, headless CMS architectures, and external-system integrations.
- Proficiency with Git, repository management, AEM Dispatcher configuration, deployment automation, and performance optimization.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
- Experience leading and coaching junior developers, documenting SDLC and architecture, managing multiple initiatives, and working in consulting environments.
- Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban; Life Sciences industry experience and connections are preferred.
