Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable microservices and tools for Okta's Continuous Delivery platform.
- Develop software solutions and APIs for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Contribute to the architectural design and implementation of CD pipelines and Terraform workflows.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code for microservices with a focus on automation.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Product teams to identify and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Advocate for software engineering best practices to ensure high-quality tooling.
- Apply security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities for self-service automation to improve developer velocity.
- Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in Software Development with a focus on backend systems.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java, Go, Python, or similar backend languages.
- Experience in developing automation tools and microservices for cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles and experience with Terraform.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery platform development.
- Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
- Proficient in using Docker and experienced with Linux and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with database technologies in application development.
- Passion for solving complex operational challenges through software solutions.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
