Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize cloud and data infrastructure for high availability, reliability, and scalability.
- Implement SRE practices including monitoring, alerting, error budgets, and incident management.
- Collaborate with customers, development, product management, engineering, and security teams to create secure and scalable solutions.
- Monitor production systems, participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Contribute to postmortems, continuous improvement, and proactive performance optimization.
- Use programming and systems engineering to build data platform capabilities and operational automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and 5–8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Operations, or a related role.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes, including EKS or self-managed Kubernetes, Docker, networking, and public cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Strong infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Splunk, or OpenTelemetry.
- Working knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, Bash, or Go, for automation and operational tasks.
- Understanding of Unix/Linux systems, the kernel, system libraries, file systems, and client-server protocols.
- Preferred experience building or managing cloud-based data platforms, infrastructure automation and orchestration, and highly available systems at scale.
- Preferred experience applying AI-assisted or automation-first approaches to SRE tooling and workflows.
- Preferred certifications include CKA, CKAD, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent cloud and security certifications.
