Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction, design decisions, risks, trade-offs, implementation quality, and long-term sustainability of ServiceNow CSM and scoped applications.
- Design, build, configure, and evolve ServiceNow workflows, integrations, data models, APIs, reporting, and adjacent platform capabilities.
- Manage solution performance, integrations, reliability, upgrades, technical debt, reuse patterns, application boundaries, and enterprise architecture alignment.
- Apply AI coding assistants and agentic development tools while maintaining quality, security, and maintainability guardrails.
- Create technical documentation, communicate designs and trade-offs, deliver demos, analyze data, and surface modernization needs.
- Coach and develop engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and hands-on pairing.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise software solutions, with significant depth on the ServiceNow platform.
- Experience serving as the senior technical reference for a product or squad and owning design decisions end to end.
- Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow CSM and scoped application design, including application boundaries, cross-scope access, and source-control lifecycle management.
- Experience with solution performance, integrations, product reliability, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, including server-side and client-side scripting, security, performance, and debugging.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and agentic tools across the software development lifecycle, including their failure modes and secure-use guardrails.
- Experience designing and building REST and GraphQL API integrations with third-party systems, including authentication and API security configuration.
- ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, or CSM are highly preferred.
