Responsibilities
- Design and oversee CI/CD pipelines for automated network testing, digital-twin validation, and zero-downtime configuration deployment.
- Establish Network-as-Code and GitOps workflows using Git as the source of truth for network state, policy, and infrastructure design.
- Develop reusable network automation frameworks and Infrastructure-as-Code using Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Python, and Bash.
- Design and optimize software-defined networks, overlays, and container networking across multi-region cloud and bare-metal environments.
- Serve as a Tier 4 technical authority for complex network, routing, overlay, and production infrastructure issues.
- Build telemetry, monitoring, alerting, validation, and automated remediation platforms for network performance, security, and capacity.
- Engineer networking solutions involving VXLAN, OVN, Project Calico, Kubernetes CNIs, firewalls, load balancers, BGP, and OSPF.
- Lead technical standards, documentation practices, mentoring, design reviews, and cross-functional engineering initiatives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Network Engineering, DevOps, or SRE, focused on large-scale network design, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Expert proficiency with Ansible, Terraform, Python, and network automation libraries such as Netmiko, Nornir, or NAPALM.
- Deep expertise with software-defined networking and overlays, including VXLAN, OVN, and Project Calico.
- Advanced enterprise Kubernetes networking experience, including CNIs, Ingress controllers, Service Mesh, and Kube-Proxy behavior.
- Extensive experience with Cisco Nexus, Arista, Versa SD-WAN, Palo Alto, and Fortinet network and security fabrics.
- Experience with F5 BIG-IP AS3, Cloudflare APIs, and Octavia LBaaS for application delivery and load balancing.
- Deep Linux networking knowledge, including network namespaces, virtual interfaces, eBPF, iptables, and kernel-level routing.
- CCIE-level or equivalent mastery of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and EVPN, with knowledge of overlay-to-underlay networking.
- Experience designing and scaling CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions and applying test-driven development to infrastructure changes.
- Advanced troubleshooting experience with tcpdump, Wireshark, NetFlow, and log aggregation platforms.
- Proven technical leadership experience mentoring engineers, leading design review boards, and driving cross-functional initiatives.
- Telecommunications experience with VoIP, RTP, SIP peering or trunking, and Session Border Controllers is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders.
