Base Salary
$173k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, update, and enhance distributed filesystem and network software.
- Build scalable, efficient, production-ready components and algorithms for a multi-tenant SaaS cloud platform.
- Conduct code reviews, automate deployment processes, maintain documentation, and contribute to planning and retrospectives.
- Lead, collaborate, communicate, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical guidance.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver roadmap objectives and shared business goals.
- Resolve complex technical issues and improve system scalability, robustness, and availability.
- Troubleshoot owned services and participate in the on-call rotation to maintain operational availability.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience with mastery of systems design, programming languages, and platforms.
- Deep knowledge of designing distributed filesystems in on-premises and cloud environments.
- Strong object-oriented programming, Java, Python, scripting, and SQL skills.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL and Trino.
- Experience developing SaaS products on public cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proven experience designing and developing distributed systems at scale, including queues, locks, scheduling, event-driven architecture, and workload distribution.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices and demonstrated leadership skills.
- Preferred experience with design patterns, big data or machine learning, S3, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing multinational organization is preferred.

- Base salary range of $172,500-$260,100 annually, or $207,800-$285,800 annually in select San Francisco and New York City metropolitan areas; compensation figures excluded from benefit details.
