Base Salary
$173k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, update, and enhance computer and network software and specialized utility programs.
- Build scalable components, frameworks, algorithms, and microservices for distributed, multi-tenant SaaS filesystem environments.
- Write high-quality production code for Salesforce’s cloud platform and improve system scalability, robustness, and availability.
- Perform code reviews, deployment process automation, documentation, refinement, planning, and retrospectives.
- Lead, collaborate, communicate, mentor engineers, and provide technical guidance.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver the product roadmap and shared business goals.
- Troubleshoot services owned by the team and participate in the on-call rotation.
- Create, maintain, and share technical documentation.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience with mastery of systems design, programming languages, and platforms.
- Deep knowledge of designing distributed filesystems in on-premises and cloud environments.
- Strong experience with object-oriented programming, Java, Python, SQL, and relational and non-relational databases.
- Experience developing SaaS products on public cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proven experience designing and developing distributed systems at scale, including queues, locks, scheduling, event-driven architecture, and workload distribution.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices and demonstrated leadership skills.
- Preferred: experience with design patterns, big data or ML, S3, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Preferred: experience in a high-paced, rapidly growing multinational organization.
