Base Salary

$167k - $208k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Take product ownership and seek responsibility for shaping and building Mercury’s products.
  • Self-organize and contribute to small and medium-sized projects in an autonomous environment.
  • Partner with designers and product leaders to ship polished customer experiences.
  • Work with an experienced product engineering team in product groups such as Banking, Experiences, Expansion, or Risk.
  • Make architectural decisions and measure their impact over time.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of backend development experience.
  • Knowledge of or enthusiasm to learn Haskell and proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience making architectural decisions and evaluating their impact over time.
  • Ability to articulate technical opinions and explain tradeoffs.
  • User empathy and a product-minded approach to building customer-focused products.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with peers and cross-functional partners.
  • Interest in using AI tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and solve difficult problems.
