Responsibilities
- Research, develop, implement, and continuously improve vulnerability detections and scanning processes.
- Investigate, analyze, and troubleshoot customer-reported vulnerability detection issues and modify code to resolve them.
- Participate in and help drive customer calls and meetings to understand and address technical issues.
- Stay current with vulnerabilities, attacks, and countermeasures.
- Coordinate team tasks, prioritize work, and ensure timely resolution of customer issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the team.
- Explore AI/ML techniques for automated signature generation, false-positive and false-negative reduction, anomaly detection, and vulnerability triage.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in network and systems security.
- BE/B.Tech or MCA, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, and SSL/TLS protocols.
- Strong knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.
- Hands-on experience with Python and Bash scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and other container or orchestration tools.
- Familiarity with network analysis tools and packet capture analysis.
- System administration experience on Windows or Unix/Linux platforms.
- Strong understanding of VPNs, firewalls, and IDS/IPS technologies.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred: AI/ML or LLM application to security problems, Lua or Java, VMware/VirtualBox/XEN, AWS/Azure/Oracle Cloud, vulnerability scanners, IDS/IPS, security automation, OSCP/CISSP/GIAC certifications, and independent project leadership.
