Responsibilities
- Build scalable distributed systems and services for tens of millions of devices connected to the IoT platform.
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Java and Spring Boot microservices and cloud-native AWS deployments.
- Build applications using device telemetry and metadata.
- Create architecture and technical design documents for implementation by development teams.
- Develop lifecycle operations capabilities including zero-downtime upgrades, rollback, operational data collection, real-time monitoring, self-healing, and repair.
- Oversee services using Grails, MySQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.
- Guide adoption of containerization, orchestration, CI/CD, and version-control best practices.
- Mentor and coach engineers and promote technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, infrastructure, test, production support, and engineering leadership teams.
- Ensure code quality, security, and performance through code reviews and automated testing.
- Contribute to frontend development using HTML5, AJAX, and React.js as needed.
- Manage source code and workflows using GitHub and GitLab.
- Propose technical approaches that meet customer requirements and support tactical and strategic technology needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 8 years of software design and development experience, including design patterns, object-oriented design, layered architectures, distributed systems, microservices, and SaaS at scale.
- At least 5 years of experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS, and data streaming technologies such as Spark, Flink, Kafka Streams, or Storm.
- Strong experience with Grails, MySQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.
- Experience with HTML5, AJAX, React.js, Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, and Node.js.
- Experience with data stores including MongoDB, MySQL, Aurora, and RDS.
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS cloud services, deployment pipelines, CI/CD practices, GitHub, and GitLab.
- Hands-on GenAI experience within the last 1–3 years, including LLM integration, prompt engineering, orchestration frameworks, and inference optimization.
- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
