Responsibilities
- Design and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, scalability, reliability, and resilience testing activities.
- Develop and maintain performance testing frameworks and reusable test assets.
- Perform API testing and validation across REST and SOAP services, including request chaining, parameterization, and functional validation.
- Analyze application and system performance to identify bottlenecks, risks, and root causes.
- Produce detailed test reports and present findings and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to non-functional test strategy, planning, estimation, execution, and continuous improvement of testing processes.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, operations teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Use monitoring and observability tools to validate application behavior and support performance optimization initiatives.
Requirements
- ISTQB Foundation certification or an equivalent testing qualification.
- At least 5 years of software testing experience, including at least 3 years focused on non-functional or performance testing.
- Proven experience with performance, load, stress, scalability, and reliability testing.
- Strong API testing experience with REST and SOAP services, including request chaining, parameterization, and functional validation.
- Hands-on experience with Postman, JMeter, and LoadRunner or NeoLoad.
- Experience creating and maintaining test frameworks and reusable test assets.
- Experience analyzing and presenting test results to technical and business stakeholders, with strong defect management and reporting skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder engagement, reporting, and documentation skills.
- Advantageous experience includes business continuity and operational resilience testing, disaster recovery testing, energy or utilities-sector work, Smart Meter technologies such as SMETS1 and SMETS2, scripting with Java or Python, test automation, security testing, and Docker.
