Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and validate OpenBMC software on NXP platforms.
- Enable and support Redfish, IPMI, MCTP, and PLDM management protocols.
- Perform hardware and software bring-up of BMC reference platforms.
- Validate power control, thermal monitoring, sensor management, event logging, and firmware update functions.
- Support PCIe, USB, Ethernet, NC-SI, I²C, I3C, SMBus, UART, and GPIO interfaces.
- Support ODMs, OEMs, and end customers with design-in activities and technical issue resolution.
- Develop automation and regression test frameworks for platform validation.
- Analyze and debug complex hardware/software integration issues across multiple subsystems.
- Support customer demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical workshops.
- Create technical documentation, application notes, validation reports, and integration guides.
- Contribute to upstream OpenBMC and related ecosystem initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years of experience in embedded systems, Linux platform development, or server-management solutions.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++.
- Experience with Embedded Linux development and debugging, Linux BSPs, and device drivers.
- Familiarity with Yocto-based Linux distributions.
- Experience using Git and collaborative software development practices.
- Strong understanding of hardware/software interactions and system-level debugging.
- Preferred experience with OpenBMC, Redfish, IPMI, MCTP, PLDM, server platforms, datacenter infrastructure, or management controllers.
- Knowledge of OCP and DC-SCM architectures and familiarity with Secure Boot, TPM, Root of Trust, and platform interfaces.
- Exposure to validation automation frameworks and continuous integration environments.
- Strong analytical, debugging, communication, cross-functional teamwork, customer-support, ownership, and prioritization skills.
