Base Salary
$184k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, version, optimize, and maintain Docker-containerized applications for production deployment.
- Develop and administer GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including runner configuration, optimization, monitoring dashboards, and automated testing workflows.
- Architect and manage AWS infrastructure with Terraform, including ECS, ECR, VPC, EC2, ALB/NLB, and related cloud services.
- Administer AWS data services including DocumentDB, OpenSearch, Redis, Aurora Postgres, DynamoDB, and S3.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions using Datadog and CloudWatch.
- Manage infrastructure security and compliance, including certificate management with ACM.
- Lead release engineering, deployment automation, versioning strategies, and rollback procedures.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement infrastructure improvements.
- Use Claude Code and other AI-assisted development tools to accelerate infrastructure work and apply knowledge of LLMs and AI systems to the platform architecture.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for reliability and incident response.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience building, testing, and deploying production applications with Docker.
- Experience administering GitLab CI/CD systems, including runner setup, pipeline configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong proficiency with AWS, especially ECS, ECR, VPC, and Terraform infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience managing AWS data services such as DocumentDB, OpenSearch, Redis, Aurora Postgres, or DynamoDB.
- Proficiency with Linux and/or macOS command-line environments.
- Experience with release engineering and deployment automation.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools, with Datadog preferred.
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts and LLM architectures.
- Proficiency with Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development tools.
- Strong problem-solving, independent working, communication, and collaboration skills.
