Senior Full-Stack Engineer
BitdefenderResponsibilities
- Lead the technical design and delivery of complex software features and services, including architectural decisions and trade-off documentation.
- Own features across discovery, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, incident response, and ongoing improvement.
- Build, maintain, improve, and scale cloud applications and data-processing services across frontend and backend systems.
- Monitor production systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement measures to prevent recurring incidents.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, QA, security, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and manage technical risks.
- Conduct code and design reviews, mentor engineers, and improve engineering practices.
- Use AI-assisted tools, automation, and appropriate technologies to improve engineering quality and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least five years of software engineering experience with a track record of independently delivering complex production systems.
- Proficiency in one or more of Python, PHP, TypeScript/JavaScript, and SQL or NoSQL database systems, with the ability to contribute across frontend and backend systems.
- Experience designing, building, troubleshooting, and operating cloud-based applications and distributed services.
- Ability to write secure, maintainable code and apply appropriate automated testing practices.
- Ability to work with ambiguous requirements, identify risks, make technical trade-offs, and create practical delivery plans.
- Clear communication skills and experience supporting engineers through mentoring, feedback, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Experience building or integrating AI-powered systems into production applications and evaluating their performance, reliability, security, and practical value.
- Preferred experience with distributed or remote-first teams, cloud products, cybersecurity, cloud security, endpoint protection, CI/CD pipelines, containers, Kubernetes, MongoDB, Redis, large-scale databases, AWS, Azure, GCP, and cloud-native architectures.
