Base Salary
$125k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop backend services and features that interface with SwoopOS, frontend applications, and production infrastructure.
- Design and build SDKs for internal, external, and third-party application developers.
- Author reusable Python packages for functionality shared across services.
- Maintain strong service availability and service-level agreements, particularly for production Kubernetes workloads.
- Tune data storage configurations for scale and near-real-time availability in a streaming architecture.
Requirements
- Active US security clearance is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.
- At least 3 years of backend software development experience writing scalable code and/or modern APIs using databases and distributed data sources.
- Proficient Python coding ability and a solid understanding of data structures and data models.
- Production experience with Kubernetes.
- Understanding of basic software security standards.
- Ability to meet a 5–20% travel requirement.
- Bonus qualifications include async Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Solr, Rust, or experience handling multimedia data structures.
