Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, code, test, debug, maintain, and support new and existing Internet applications.
- Develop high-quality, efficient, supportable code that meets business and technical requirements.
- Contribute to project work-package definition, estimation, execution, systems design, and technical documentation.
- Participate in rotating 24/7 pager support and application verification for major installations.
- Resolve and appropriately escalate PACE tickets and support ongoing application availability.
- Participate in code walkthroughs, change management, release processes, and project documentation.
- Act as a technical lead when needed and mentor junior team members through training, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
- Incorporate new Internet technologies and contribute to product enhancements and innovation.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3–5 years of Internet Development experience or equivalent experience.
- Experience with J2EE technologies, including XML, XSL, XSLT, Servlets, JSP, Spring, and Struts.
- Experience with web presentation technologies including DHTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, and multi-browser compatibility.
- Knowledge of web services technologies such as SOAP, UDDI, and WSDL.
- Experience with JDBC, Oracle, SQL, WebSphere 6, and RAD IDE.
- Experience with JUnit or other unit-testing tools, frameworks, or methodologies.
- Knowledge of object-oriented analysis, design, development, web design patterns, security techniques, and e-business technologies.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to business users and collaborate across Internet Development and Information Systems teams.
- Strong urgency, tenacity, continuous-learning mindset, teamwork, and commitment to keeping technical skills current.
