Base Salary
$280k - $400k/yr
Responsibilities
- Make and own architectural tradeoffs involving state storage, compute limits, sandboxing, tenancy, and deployment strategies.
- Design systems for concurrent AI agent sessions across integrations with consistent state.
- Define reliability and observability standards, including SLOs, error budgets, tracing, and incident-response patterns.
- Review every significant pull request and set technical direction while maintaining development velocity.
- Ship production code daily and identify additional areas that need building.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as an individual-contributor engineer and prior Staff or Principal experience at a company with real scale.
- Experience building and operating systems serving millions of users, including distributed state, real-time streaming, and multi-tenant isolation.
- Recent hands-on AI/LLM experience building agent systems, model-routing layers, or tool-use architectures.
- Fluency in TypeScript and ability to contribute productively from day one.
- Strong ownership, architectural judgment, and experience making decisions in production-scale systems.
- Bonus: experience with Cloudflare Workers at scale, strong opinions on agent runtimes and deployment strategies, or significant open-source contributions.
