Base Salary
$173k - $307k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, deployment, and productionization of multimodal, generative, and agentic AI systems.
- Build transformers, diffusion models, LLMs, vision-language models, and other AI systems for content creation, understanding, and transformation.
- Develop agentic systems that use tools, interact with models and services, and complete complex multi-step creative workflows.
- Build intelligent capabilities for Firefly AI Assistant and Creative Cloud workflows.
- Develop scalable APIs, distributed services, and production ML infrastructure integrating AI capabilities into Adobe products.
- Drive the end-to-end ML lifecycle, including formulation, modeling, experimentation, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Improve the performance, scalability, reliability, and quality of high-traffic production AI systems.
- Partner with engineering, product, design, and research teams to translate customer needs into ML solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and raise engineering and machine learning standards.
- Identify opportunities to apply generative and agentic AI to creative and enterprise challenges.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience building and deploying machine learning systems in production.
- Hands-on experience designing and building agentic AI systems involving tool use, orchestration, multi-step workflows, planning, reasoning, retrieval, memory, or human-in-the-loop systems.
- Experience with agent interoperability and tool integration, including Model Context Protocol, function/tool calling, or similar frameworks and protocols.
- Expertise in computer vision, generative AI, and/or multimodal machine learning, including transformers, diffusion models, LLMs, or VLMs.
- Strong foundations in probability, statistics, machine learning, and model evaluation.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with PyTorch or comparable machine learning frameworks.
- Experience building scalable APIs, distributed services, or production ML infrastructure.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, testing, code quality, and code reviews.
- Experience with AWS or Azure and Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor.
- Preferred experience with production agentic AI platforms, multi-agent systems, evaluation, observability, reliability, safety, multimodal video/audio/3D learning, video understanding or generation, temporal modeling, streaming ML, foundation-model optimization, responsible AI, retrieval and orchestration systems, creative applications, research, or open-source contributions.
