Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and iterate agentic AI systems with research, engineering, product, solution engineering, and customer teams.
- Build and ship high-quality production software and complex systems integrating AI agents into human workflows.
- Build and maintain shared system context containing system designs, constraints, and standards for reliable AI operation.
- Critically evaluate human- and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
- Build end-to-end AI agents and complex AI-driven applications using LLMs and agentic workflows.
- Implement and debug model training, evaluation, and inference pipelines.
- Deploy ML systems using Docker and cloud platforms, and optimize distributed training or inference.
- Use AI development tools and advanced prompt engineering to create secure, reliable, production-ready systems.
Requirements
- Exceptional software engineering skills and strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, system design, and production-quality systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python and solid experience with C++ and/or Java.
- Deep machine learning knowledge with a meaningful implementation track record and hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks.
- Practical experience with LLMs, agentic workflows, tool use, planning, memory, multi-step reasoning, prompting, orchestration, and evaluation.
- Experience implementing and debugging model training, evaluation, and inference pipelines.
- Experience deploying ML systems with Docker and AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with distributed training or inference and performance optimization.
- Advanced prompt engineering skills and the ability to create precise structured prompts and reliable system context.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor.
- Strategic thinking, resilience, collaboration, proactive execution, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment are expected.
- Competitive coding achievements or experience founding an agentic AI or LLM startup are examples of notable candidate backgrounds.

- The role is offered with location-dependent base salary ranges, including $148,500–$223,900 annually generally and $178,900–$246,000 annually in select San Francisco and New York City metropolitan locations.
