Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain resilient tools, operational APIs, automation, and telemetry for effective system management.
- Improve service reliability, observability, performance, and availability through software engineering practices.
- Automate manual operational activity using orchestration and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Build dashboards and maintain monitoring and analytics toolsets using telemetry data.
- Participate in live incident resolution, post-mortem analysis, and remediation planning.
- Drive reliability and observability initiatives across the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with IT Operations and mentor colleagues on technologies and practices.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of Python, Golang, JavaScript, and shell scripting.
- Strong knowledge of software development techniques and lifecycles.
- Excellent knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering principles, including Service Level Indicators and Service Level Objectives.
- Experience with observability tools and practices, including Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, and PagerDuty.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, automation, and orchestration tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Prior experience in a large-scale, 24/7 enterprise environment where uptime and stability are critical.
- Hands-on experience using LLM platforms and coding assistants to improve productivity and quality.
- Ability to integrate AI-driven telemetry for observability, predictive insights, and root-cause analysis.
