Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate infrastructure components for global edge points of presence, including Kubernetes control planes, virtualization and containers, and ingress or gateway systems.
- Deliver cloud-native features end to end from requirements and architecture through implementation, testing, production rollout, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Build observability and troubleshooting capabilities using metrics, logs, tracing, and profiling.
- Automate incident response improvements and collaborate with SRE, platform, and product teams on reusable traffic infrastructure capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and backend or systems development experience in one or more of Go, C, C++, or Rust.
- Hands-on production experience with containers and Kubernetes, including cluster operations, networking, service discovery, ingress or gateways, and rollout strategies.
- Practical understanding of cloud-native technologies, containers, virtualization, and networking.
- Preferred qualifications include cloud-native open-source contributions, strong Linux knowledge, production troubleshooting, multi-tenant isolation, network security controls, reliability mechanisms, and experience with CDN, livestream, RTC, or other edge traffic architectures.
