Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of backend RESTful API services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Provide architectural guidance, engineering direction, and hands-on problem solving for development and support groups.
- Own complex application and platform challenges from discovery through delivery while balancing speed, quality, security, and maintainability.
- Establish software quality standards through design reviews, code reviews, testing strategy, operational readiness, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor and develop engineers and raise technical capability and execution consistency across the team.
- Lead adoption of secure AI-assisted and agentic software development practices, including repository guidance, approval workflows, validation standards, and development guardrails.
- Influence full-stack architecture across UI, API, and service layers while owning scalable backend microservice and platform architecture.
- Drive business-value feature delivery with cross-functional teams and create structured code, documentation, and reusable patterns that improve scalability and developer productivity.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering experience with Java 17 or later and Spring Boot for RESTful API and microservices development.
- Experience building secure, scalable platform services in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience deploying backend services in cloud-native environments.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted and agentic software development workflows and responsible AI usage.
- Ability to review, validate, test, and refine AI-generated code and pull requests for correctness, maintainability, performance, security, and engineering-standard alignment.
- Preferred experience building production AI agents with Python.
- Preferred experience with LangChain or LangGraph and integrating LLMs with external tools, APIs, databases, and retrieval systems.
- Preferred experience designing evaluations, guardrails, and monitoring for agent reliability, as well as multi-agent workflows, memory and context management, prompt optimization, latency reduction, cost control, MLOps, or model deployment.
- Ability to provide software architecture, integration engineering, decision-making, critical-thinking, and effective communication leadership.
