Advanced Engineer - Application Security

- Design, develop, deploy, maintain, and operate security infrastructure services including KMS, manufacturing provisioning, Certificate Authorities, and code-signing infrastructure.
- Define and implement APIs, protocols, and services for secure platform-asset enumeration, configuration, and management.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and controls for cryptographic key generation, handling, lifecycle management, and access governance.
- Support manufacturing partners by troubleshooting and resolving security provisioning issues.
- Partner with software teams to enable hosting platforms, tooling, SDKs, and integration components.
- Own the day-to-day operation, reliability, and continuous improvement of security infrastructure services.
- Collaborate with product engineering, IT, manufacturing, and external partners to embed security across the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of industry experience in a security engineering role.
- Strong working knowledge of Linux environments and command-line tools.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Java, and Python.
- Practical experience with HTTP(S) services, Apache or Nginx reverse proxies, VPNs, and SSL/TLS configuration.
- Foundational experience with HSMs, including PKCS#11, code-signing services, secure payload decryption, certificate signing, and device identity generation.
- Understanding of secure key generation and delivery, access control, token-based authorization, multi-party authorization, cryptographic primitives, and secure communication protocols.
- Ability to understand complex systems, including vehicle architectures and manufacturing workflows.
- Preferred bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Preferred experience with HSM deployment and maintenance, code-signing infrastructure, access control systems, web services deployment, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, CloudHSM, Utimaco HSMs, rsyslog, Logstash, ELK Stack, SELinux, AppArmor, SMACK, PAM, SSH, FIDO/U2F, Trustonic/Kinibi, Microsoft SignTool, AUTOSAR SHE, and Android APK/APEX signing.
- Automotive cybersecurity experience and strong English communication, collaboration, resilience, and ownership are preferred.
