Senior Software Engineer - Data Integration, Officer
State StreetResponsibilities
- Develop and support Alpha Data Platform data integration and orchestration services throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Build and maintain ETL data pipelines, Snowflake data warehouse solutions, data-quality processes, and data loads for batch and real-time use cases.
- Perform SQL debugging, query performance tuning, root-cause analysis, and resolution of code, data, and production issues.
- Create high-level designs, design standards, governance artifacts, peer code reviews, unit-test results, deployment materials, and Jira/Kanban stories.
- Collaborate with global APAC, EMEA, and North American teams on cross-training, data onboarding, client implementations, and operational improvements.
- Use Git versioning, merging, release branches, and feature branches to support code deployments.
- Work with business and IT stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions and support client requirements.
Requirements
- A B.S. degree or foreign education equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another technical field is required.
- An M.S. degree is strongly preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in data integration or orchestration services is required.
- Strong data warehousing knowledge and experience with Talend Cloud Data Integration are required.
- Strong SQL knowledge and debugging skills are required.
- Experience with service architecture, data-driven client solutions, Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, and database query or performance tuning is required.
- Financial-domain knowledge is a plus.
- Prior State Street or Charles River Development experience is a plus.
- Experience with Qlik Replicate and Qlik Compose for change data capture is a plus.
- Exposure to third-party data providers such as Bloomberg, Reuters, MSCI, and rating agencies is a plus.
