Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze data requirements and data flows across systems.
- Transform database requirements into logical and physical data models.
- Design enterprise data architecture, star schemas, vault/3NF structures, semantic views, data warehouses, and data marts.
- Develop and maintain data warehouses integrating data from multiple sources and systems.
- Optimize database performance through indexing and effective table relationships.
- Model data lineage and schema translations between systems.
- Manage data acquisition, archiving, recovery, migrations, conversions, and data-processing troubleshooting.
- Produce data-modeling reports and recommendations for internal or external clients.
- Work independently with limited supervision and coach and review fellow team members.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience is required.
- At least 6 years of data modeling experience across multiple relational databases, OLAP, data warehouses, and data marts.
- At least 3 years of experience modeling data lineage and translations between systems with different schemas.
- At least 2 years of software development experience with Snowflake, dbt, semantic views, and Cortex AI.
- Experience using Jira in Agile development.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field such as information systems, mathematics, or software engineering.
- Strong critical-thinking, analytical, communication, mentoring, facilitation, conflict-resolution, ownership, and initiative skills.
