Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services, APIs, and data pipelines supporting Collate’s products.
- Ensure systems are performant, secure, reliable, and scalable.
- Collaborate with product, design, and ML teams to deliver production-ready features.
- Build internal tools and workflows that improve engineering productivity.
- Continuously improve backend architecture to support rapid growth and new capabilities.
Requirements
- Experience designing and scaling backend systems in production.
- Strong skills building APIs and services with attention to reliability and performance.
- Backend depth with the ability to work across the stack when needed.
- Ability to move quickly while maintaining long-term maintainability.
- Ability to take ownership in an early-stage startup environment.
- Collaborative, humble approach and eagerness to learn as needed.
