Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the user community to define requirements for new Layer 1 test framework work.
  • Implement, verify, and maintain new test framework features.
  • Design solutions that improve toolchain efficiency, maintainability, and usability.
  • Troubleshoot framework and environment-related issues for software developers worldwide.
  • Assist with exploratory and non-commercial projects requiring customized testing solutions.

Requirements

  • Be currently enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate, master’s, or PhD program at a four-year college or university during the co-op.
  • Be pursuing Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science studies.
  • Have Python programming skills; familiarity with C is a plus.
  • Understand product verification concepts, including requirements, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Have experience with tools such as Git, Gerrit, or Jenkins and be comfortable in a Linux development environment.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving, and strong English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of real-time embedded systems, multi-core architectures, or 3GPP/ORAN WG wireless communications standards is an asset.
  • Have a GPA of 2.7 or equivalent and be available to work 40 hours per week.

Benefits

  • Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
  • Hourly pay varies by education level: CAD $25.5-$34.5 for bachelor’s students, CAD $37 for master’s students, and CAD $41 for PhD students.
