Responsibilities
- Develop software components, services, and tools supporting product security programs.
- Apply secure coding and security-by-design practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in feature design, implementation, testing, deployment, code reviews, and design reviews.
- Support threat modeling, security reviews, vulnerability remediation, and risk mitigation.
- Develop automation to improve security, compliance, and engineering productivity.
- Contribute to cloud, web, desktop, and distributed application development.
- Integrate security requirements and security tooling into product designs and CI/CD pipelines.
- Investigate and resolve software defects, performance issues, and security findings.
- Create technical documentation, test plans, and engineering artifacts.
- Use generative AI tools responsibly to improve development efficiency, code quality, testing, documentation, and workflows.
- Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams and stay current with cybersecurity and software engineering developments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of software development experience.
- Experience with one or more of C#, C++, Java, Python, Go, or TypeScript.
- Preferred experience with cloud, web, desktop, or distributed systems; object-oriented design; data structures; algorithms; and design patterns.
- Preferred experience with TypeScript, Node.js, Angular, React, GraphQL, Windows, Linux, Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Knowledge of secure software development lifecycle practices, OWASP Top 10, CWE, secure coding, threat modeling, authentication, authorization, encryption, and security protocols.
- Exposure to SAST, SCA, DAST, SBOM, container security solutions, and security standards such as IEC 62443, NIST SSDF, CRA, or NIS2.
- Experience or familiarity with generative AI tools including GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor, as well as AI-assisted development, prompt engineering, LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, and AI-enabled developer tooling.
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
