Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain large-scale production services, web applications, data pipelines, and streaming systems.
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Research, analyze, and document findings while supporting engineering teams.
- Review code and tests and ensure software meets coding, structural, compatibility, and industry standards.
- Improve organizational engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver designs, code, and tests on schedule.
- Coach and review the work of other team members when needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of technologies and programming practices.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of programming languages, software fundamentals, development tools, version control, build processes, debuggers, and test frameworks.
- Mandatory experience with Java and the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or Spring Data.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent business experience.
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work independently, manage projects and competing priorities, adapt to new technologies, and communicate effectively.
- Preferred experience with full stack development, ReactJS, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Kafka, AWS, DynamoDB, S3, or Lambda.
