Responsibilities
- Design and implement software solutions that address complex client business problems.
- Write clean, reusable, well-tested code and apply object-oriented programming, design patterns, TDD, and pair programming.
- Build large-scale distributed systems using microservices.
- Collaborate with analysts, designers, project managers, and other teammates to develop features, design concepts, interactive prototypes, and customer experiences.
- Use continuous delivery and DevSecOps practices to build and deploy high-quality software.
- Participate in the full software consulting and delivery lifecycle from ideation through deployment.
- Assess team health, code quality, and nonfunctional requirements while advocating for strong engineering practices.
- Mentor less-experienced peers and help guide teams toward an aspirational technical vision.
Requirements
- Experience using one or more development languages such as Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, TypeScript, Ruby, or C#.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills and the ability to write high-quality, well-tested code.
- Comfort with Agile methodologies such as Extreme Programming, Scrum, and/or Kanban.
- Awareness of test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery approaches and tools.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker is preferred.
- Ability to influence others, advocate for technical excellence, and adapt to change.
- External technology community participation through speaking, open-source contributions, blogs, or similar activities.
- Resilience in ambiguous situations and the ability to approach challenges from multiple perspectives.
