Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and productionize full-stack software solutions spanning embedded systems and server-side software.
- Design, build, and operate reusable, hardware-independent software platforms for embedded chipsets in Pixel phones and watches.
- Support wireless features and maintain source control, build systems, testing frameworks, analytics, logging, and firmware-release tools.
- Participate in or lead design reviews and evaluate technology choices with peers and stakeholders.
- Review code and provide feedback on style, correctness, testability, and efficiency.
- Maintain documentation and educational content based on product updates and user feedback.
- Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing impacts on hardware, networks, services, and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
- At least 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- At least 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- At least 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- At least 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience with embedded systems, Android, or Android app development.
- Proficiency in C++, Rust, or Java.
- Familiarity with cellular protocol stacks or cellular modems.
- A master’s degree or PhD in computer science or a related technical field is preferred.
