Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation solutions that reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code templates for consistent network configurations.
- Build and maintain an automation framework supporting self-service capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert complex requirements into scalable automated processes.
- Oversee automation projects from conception through deployment.
- Conduct pre-release and post-release testing and perform QA on prospective code.
- Document automation processes and maintain version control for reproducible infrastructure.
- Research emerging technologies to improve automation capabilities.
- Maintain coding standards and technical governance across the automation environment.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL for automated processes, APIs, and frontend tooling.
- Expertise in TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewall configurations, content delivery technologies, load balancing, caching, and cloud-based services.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, Jenkins, and Git.
- Proven ability to manage change and version control systems.
- Experience blending infrastructure and network engineering expertise with software development.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and experience delivering significant automation and operational improvements.
