Responsibilities
- Develop automation tools that enable internal teams to self-service, deploy, detect, alert, and mitigate issues in AWS environments.
- Build and operate AWS solutions, including hands-on work with IAM, security policies, and cloud-native services.
- Champion and implement cloud security standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and implement IAM permissions for users and workloads.
- Provide service design and deployment guidance to development and DevOps teams.
- Own initiatives, contribute to solution design and planning, and serve as a technical resource across teams.
- Monitor and resolve inbound operational issues.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong Python development skills and ability to write production-quality code.
- Experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions, Spinnaker, and Jenkins.
- Experience with platform engineering and backend development using Python.
- Experience developing APIs and designing database schemas.
- Hands-on AWS Security and IAM administration and policy-creation experience for multiple users and workloads.
- Familiarity with Docker, containerization concepts, Unix/Linux systems, and operational troubleshooting tools and techniques.
- Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders and a practical, collaborative working approach.
