Responsibilities
- Deliver user stories as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Build, deploy, test, configure, monitor, and support software services.
- Develop RESTful APIs and synchronous and asynchronous microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Work with testing, application security, cloud infrastructure, and DevSecOps practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and support their professional growth and wellbeing.
- Contribute to performance management, technical excellence, continuous improvement, and engineering communities.
Requirements
- Strong technical competence in Java, Spring Boot, open-source integration frameworks, test-driven development, unit testing, and automated integration testing.
- Experience building RESTful APIs with Spring Boot and loosely coupled synchronous and asynchronous microservices.
- Working knowledge of Spring JPA, AOP, transactions, SQL and NoSQL databases, containers, and container management platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes is desirable.
- Cloud infrastructure experience and understanding of application security, continuous integration, and continuous delivery are desirable.
- Broad software engineering skills in problem solving, business analysis, quality assurance, application design, and architecture are encouraged.
- Ability to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance, including continuous UK residence for the previous five years.
