Responsibilities
- Produce well-structured, maintainable, reliable, and fit-for-purpose code.
- Refine and break down business requirements into implementable work items.
- Support the technical lead and liaise with Architecture and other stakeholders on technical matters.
- Provide technical leadership and support to team members.
- Identify and suggest improvements to team and department working practices.
- Contribute to department initiatives and promote sound software engineering principles.
Requirements
- Proven experience in or genuine passion for software development.
- Degree-level education in computing, mathematics, science, or an equivalent qualification or experience.
- Experience delivering work to schedule and specification.
- Experience developing software with Java, Oracle, and Linux.
- Preferred experience with SOLID principles, software design patterns, REST APIs, test-driven development, web application security, and prompting AI for desired outcomes.
- A collaborative, accountable, proactive, client-focused, and adaptable approach.
