Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain capabilities enabling businesses to collect payments and integrate accounts with third-party providers.
- Build robust, scalable systems using clear, concise, and maintainable code.
- Deliver features including Invoicing, Tap to Pay, Settle Up for Business, Easy Account Top Up, and Open Banking functionality.
- Maintain the Open Banking API, PSD2 public API, Starling Marketplace, and peer-to-peer ecosystem supporting Confirmation of Payee.
- Collaborate across teams and with external third-party partners to deliver customer-focused technical and product solutions.
- Participate in automated testing, continuous deployment, technical interviews, and the take-home technical assessment.
Requirements
- At least 3–4 years of Java experience.
- Demonstrated ability to engineer robust, scalable systems and a track record of engineering excellence.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and maintainable code with strong attention to detail.
- Aptitude and attitude aligned with solving difficult technical problems; specific formal qualifications are not required.
- Experience with AWS and Postgres is highly desirable.
- Experience with the listed technology stack is beneficial but not required in its entirety.
