Responsibilities
- Design and scale distributed systems supporting customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, and financial-crime detection.
- Architect high-throughput, event-driven risk engines that produce consistent, explainable, and real-time-auditable decisions.
- Set technical strategy and make critical architectural decisions.
- Mentor senior engineering talent.
- Own systems end to end from initial design through live production metrics.
- Partner with Product, Compliance, and Data Science to translate regulatory complexity into high-performance software.
Requirements
- 7+ years of deep Java expertise using Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience building event-driven architectures with Kafka and SQL.
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of systems from design through production.
- Ability to explain complex distributed-architecture concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience with continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Prior AML, KYC, or fraud-prevention experience is a strong plus.
