Responsibilities
- Validate system requirements and assist with detailed software programming specifications.
- Write, review, and optimize application code in collaboration with senior engineers.
- Support the development and deployment of enhancements and new applications across local, networked, cloud-based, and internet-related environments.
- Create software installation and maintenance documentation and procedures.
- Engage users, developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to address project concerns and incorporate stakeholder expectations.
- Participate in ongoing learning, workshops, and training while sharing knowledge of emerging technologies and programming languages.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work without now or in the future requiring employment-visa sponsorship.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or at least three years of application development or application engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least two years of software development experience, specifically in application development engineering.
- Familiarity with Java, C++, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience with software development tools such as Git or Jenkins.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred experience includes Ignition 8.1/Perspective, Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, SQL, MQTT, and JIRA.
