Responsibilities
- Validate system requirements and assist with detailed software programming specifications.
- Write, review, and optimize application code while collaborating with senior engineers.
- Support the development and deployment of enhancements and new software applications.
- Create documentation and procedures for software installation and maintenance.
- Collaborate with users, developers, project managers, project teams, business analysts, and end users to address project concerns and meet stakeholder expectations.
- Participate in ongoing learning, workshops, training, and knowledge sharing about emerging technologies and programming languages.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or at least three years of application development or application engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least two years of experience in software development, specifically application development engineering.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience with software development tools such as Git or Jenkins.
- Preferred experience with Ignition 8.1/Perspective, Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, SQL, MQTT, and JIRA.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work without current or future employment-visa sponsorship.
