Responsibilities
- Validate system requirements and assist with detailed software programming specifications.
- Write, review, and optimize application code using current programming languages.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, project teams, business analysts, users, developers, project managers, and end users.
- Create documentation and procedures for software installation and maintenance.
- Address project concerns and incorporate stakeholder expectations throughout development.
- Participate in ongoing learning, workshops, training, and knowledge sharing about emerging technologies and programming languages.
Requirements
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience with software development tools such as Git or Jenkins.
- At least 2 years of experience in software development, specifically application development engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or at least 3 years of application development or application engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred knowledge or experience with Ignition 8.1/Perspective, Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, SQL, MQTT, databases, reporting tools, cloud technologies, APIs, systems integration, software testing, automated testing, containerization, version control, and CI/CD.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work without current or future employment-visa sponsorship.
