Responsibilities
- Validate system requirements and assist with detailed software programming specifications.
- Write, review, and optimize application code using current programming languages.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional stakeholders, including project teams, business analysts, project managers, developers, users, and end users.
- Create documentation and procedures for software installation and maintenance.
- Address project concerns and incorporate stakeholder expectations throughout development.
- Participate in ongoing learning, workshops, and training and share knowledge of emerging technologies and programming languages.
Requirements
- Familiarity with Java, C++, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience with software development tools such as Git or Jenkins.
- At least 2 years of experience in software development, specifically application development engineering.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or at least 3 years of application development or application engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred experience includes Ignition 8.1/Perspective, Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, SQL, and MQTT.
- Database knowledge including Oracle, SQL Server, ADX, Snowflake, Redis, and Postgres is preferred.
- Experience with Tableau, Seeq, Grafana, Solace event broker, JIRA, cloud technologies, systems integration, testing, CI/CD, containerization, and version control is preferred or beneficial.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work without current or future employment-visa sponsorship.
