Responsibilities
- Validate system requirements and assist with detailed software programming specifications.
- Write, review, and optimize application code while collaborating with senior engineers.
- Develop and deploy enhancements and new applications for local, networked, cloud-based, and internet environments.
- Create documentation and procedures for software installation and maintenance.
- Collaborate with users, developers, project managers, business analysts, project teams, and end users to address concerns and align expectations.
- Participate in ongoing learning, workshops, training, and knowledge sharing around programming languages and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or at least three years of application development or application engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least two years of software development experience, specifically in application development engineering.
- Familiarity with Java, C++, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience with software development tools such as Git or Jenkins.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work without current or future employment-visa sponsorship.
- Preferred experience includes Ignition 8.1/Perspective, Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, SQL, MQTT, databases, reporting tools, Solace event broker, and JIRA.
Benefits
- The position is onsite at the Cleveland headquarters and is not hybrid or remote.
- Travel is approximately 20%.
