Responsibilities
- Validate system requirements and assist with detailed software programming specifications.
- Write, review, and optimize application code while collaborating with senior engineers.
- Support the development and deployment of enhancements and new applications for local, networked, cloud-based, and internet-related environments.
- Create software installation and maintenance documentation and procedures.
- Collaborate with users, developers, project managers, business analysts, project teams, IT, engineering, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders and help address project concerns.
- Participate in ongoing learning, workshops, training, and knowledge sharing about emerging technologies and programming languages.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or at least three years of application development or application engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least two years of software development experience, specifically in application development engineering.
- Familiarity with Java, C++, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience with software development tools such as Git or Jenkins.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work without current or future employment-visa sponsorship.
- Preferred experience with Ignition 8.1, Perspective, Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, SQL, and MQTT.
- Preferred knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, ADX, Snowflake, Redis, PostgreSQL, Tableau, Seeq, Grafana, Solace Event Broker, and JIRA.
