Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable code for Matia’s DataOps platform.
- Lead core features and services from conception through completion with minimal oversight.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in development and production environments.
- Drive continuous improvement in system adaptability, performance, and scalability.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and other cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, including 2–3 years in a senior software engineering role.
- Exceptional proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, React, Python, and high-performance SQL/NoSQL database design.
- Experience designing and building scalable SaaS platforms or complex data-driven systems.
- Experience with message queues such as Kafka, SQS, or RabbitMQ for scalable data pipelines.
- Experience deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms, especially AWS.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
- Experience in a data tools company involving ETL, reverse ETL, observability, or data cataloging is preferred.
