Responsibilities
- Apply machine learning and deep learning algorithms to solve business challenges and estimate the business impact of deployed models.
- Work with customer and domain teams to understand business context, data dictionaries, and relevant modeling requirements.
- Preprocess data, perform feature engineering, and develop models using Python, R, SQL, and cloud data pipelines.
- Design, develop, deploy, optimize, and tune deep learning models using TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Develop NLP models for text classification, custom entity recognition, relationship extraction, summarization, topic modeling, knowledge-graph reasoning, and semantic search.
- Design and develop image recognition and video analysis models using deep learning algorithms and OpenCV.
- Use visualization tools for data exploration, outcome analysis, and model validation.
- Deploy models as cloud services or on-premises applications and build CI/CD pipelines for ML model deployment.
- Integrate AI and ML models with other applications through REST APIs and connector technologies.
- Develop prototype ideas into scalable, industrial-grade solutions and communicate AI/ML work through white papers and demonstrable assets.
- Collaborate with application teams on model operationalization, scaling, monitoring, and production deployment.
Requirements
- Expertise in machine learning, deep learning, mathematical and statistical sciences, and model optimization.
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying deep learning models for text, speech, image, and video data.
- Experience with Python, R, SQL, TensorFlow, PyTorch, NLP tools, visualization tools, version control, and collaborative development tools.
- Understanding of cloud AI solutions, GPU-based computing, data security and privacy, API gateways, microservices architectures, big-data ingestion and processing, and CUDA programming.
- Ability to quantify and estimate the impact of machine learning models and scale prototypes into production-grade solutions.
- Preferred experience with open-source communities or Kaggle, PySpark, Hadoop, reinforcement learning, optimization or genetic algorithms, streaming data processing, RPA, edge computing, and AR/VR.
- Preferred experience with Azure ML, IBM Watson, AWS SageMaker, Google Cloud, DataRobot, Cognitive Scale, or H2O.AI.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain and advocate for technical ideas in large forums.
