Base Salary
$159k - $268k/yr
Responsibilities
- Improve Waabi World to accelerate autonomous vehicle development.
- Improve the scalability and performance of the simulation platform for extremely large-scale simulation runs.
- Design and implement orchestration software connecting autonomy systems, actor models, and sensor simulation.
- Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and internal users to define requirements and improve simulator workflows.
- Advocate for software development patterns and drive complex cross-functional technical projects.
- Design systems involving interfaces, multithreading, concurrency, determinism, optimization, and profiling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a similar technical field.
- At least 5 years of industry experience when holding a bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with backend technologies and languages including Rust, C++, and Python, with Rust preferred.
- Experience developing and maintaining production-quality software rather than only prototypes or proofs of concept.
- Experience with Linux/Unix, systems-level programming, algorithms, data structures, concurrency, determinism, performance optimization, and profiling.
- Experience designing interfaces between systems and working with cross-functional stakeholders to build software frameworks.
- Preferred experience includes game engine or simulation development, autonomous systems, robotics, machine learning, distributed systems, emulation at scale, Docker, Bazel, accelerators, and sensor data processing.
