Base Salary
$160k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build core platform primitives including provider abstraction layers and token management systems.
- Own safety and compliance infrastructure including guardrail systems and audit logging.
- Build evaluation infrastructure for systematic quality measurement of LLM outputs.
- Lead churn containment strategy to manage rapidly-changing LLM provider SDKs.
- Architect prompt lifecycle management systems with version control and deployment pipelines.
- Design Agent-as-a-Service infrastructure for long-running async tasks.
- Collaborate with teams to understand their needs and provide technical support.
- Create reference implementations and technical documentation for platform adoption.
- Champion quality engineering practices including testing and observability.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on platform infrastructure.
- Production experience with LLM/AI systems and understanding of their unique challenges.
- Strong TypeScript expertise for designing APIs consumed by other developers.
- Experience designing user-friendly APIs and abstractions.
- Understanding of safety and compliance in AI systems.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and async processing patterns.
- Knowledge of observability and monitoring for distributed systems.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Track record of technical leadership and influencing architecture.
