Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, document, install, and maintain software applications.
- Translate business requirements into solution designs, architectures, application interfaces, system specifications, and nonfunctional requirements.
- Analyze information needs, systems flows, data usage, work processes, and problem areas to determine and implement solutions.
- Participate in software testing through test review, analysis, witnessing, and certification.
- Apply security, privacy, compliance, programming, data, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code practices across the software development lifecycle.
- Document and demonstrate solutions, communicate development issues, and recommend application improvements.
Requirements
- A college, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject, or relevant equivalent experience, is required.
- Experience working as a software engineer through temporary student employment, an internship, co-op, or extracurricular team activities is preferred.
- Experience in an Agile environment and knowledge of fundamental IT technical skills are preferred.
- Ability to take a solution from requirements scoping through launch is preferred.
- Understanding of software architecture, programming and testing standards, solution deployment, application interfaces, and industry development standards is required.
