Base Salary
$175k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and support highly available and resilient cloud infrastructure and services.
- Establish and monitor SLIs, SLOs, availability targets, and service health metrics.
- Build monitoring and observability solutions using Azure/AWS Monitoring, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational processes with Terraform, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and integrate deployments with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Design and test high-availability, disaster-recovery, backup, and automated recovery solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues, participate in critical incident response, and perform root cause analysis.
- Reduce operational toil through automation and self-healing capabilities.
- Partner with Cybersecurity on vulnerability remediation, identity and access controls, secrets, certificates, and cloud security controls.
- Support governance, capacity planning, performance optimization, cloud cost management, operational procedures, and reliability standards.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, systems engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related infrastructure engineering roles.
- 5+ years of hands-on cloud experience supporting production environments.
- Strong knowledge of cloud compute, storage, networking, identity, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Experience with Terraform and/or Bicep and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Experience with Azure/AWS Monitoring, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and alerting.
- Understanding of Azure RBAC, Microsoft Entra ID, AWS IAM, cloud networking, Private Link, and Key Vault.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking, identity, operating systems, and applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work across technical teams.
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, Kubernetes, and Docker is preferred.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and deployment pipelines is preferred.
- Experience with AWS EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch is preferred.
- Experience with hybrid cloud/on-premises environments and multi-region or mission-critical cloud architectures is preferred.
- Experience with Windows Server and Linux is preferred.
- Cloud, DevOps, or HashiCorp Terraform certifications are preferred.
