Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical reference for the squad and manage technical triage, prioritization, unblocking, standards, and quality.
- Maintain technical consistency across standards, security, maintainability, architecture, platform alignment, integration, and reuse.
- Lead AI adoption in the squad by applying and teaching AI-assisted engineering practices for coding, testing, and documentation.
- Review pull requests, mentor engineers, lead pairing and learning routines, and reduce team dependency on the Tech Lead.
- Conduct postmortems and define preventive action plans with owners and deadlines.
- Support service observability through logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, actionable alerts, and applicable SLOs.
- Coordinate technical risks, priorities, systemic architecture decisions, and team development with Tech Managers, Product Managers, Architecture, and partner teams.
- Improve delivery quality, reduce deployment incidents, rollback rates, bug leakage, and recurring failures, and control technical debt.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software architecture, with software development experience in backend, frontend, or data.
- Strong knowledge of Java 17 or later with Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Batch.
- Experience with microservices and REST APIs, Git, cloud architecture preferably on AWS, queues and storage practices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of relational databases including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL, as well as MongoDB.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Jenkins, Grafana, Kibana, and DataDog.
- Experience applying GenAI and routinely using AI assistants, skills, and agents for code, tests, and documentation, with the ability to disseminate these practices to the team.
- Strong autonomy, critical thinking, technical decision-making under uncertainty, trade-off analysis, and accountability for technical outcomes.
- Solid experience with agile methodologies and technical refinement.
- Preferred qualifications include clean architecture, Domain-Driven Design, reusable component development, and advanced English.
