Base Salary
$37k - $82k/yr
Responsibilities
- Assist with requirements, design, development, testing, and integration of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools.
- Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
- Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems.
- Support multiple programs and platforms within a software product line.
- Collaborate with project managers and other engineering professionals.
- Follow established development practices and maintain software configuration management.
Requirements
- Must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related STEM major through completion of the internship.
- Experience with real-time C++ embedded software, Windows and Linux operating systems, Git, Jira, Jenkins, Perl, Bash, and/or KornShell may be obtained through work, research, coursework, or projects.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain an interim U.S. government-issued Secret DoD security clearance before starting.
- Preferred qualifications include knowledge of data structures, algorithms, systems software design, operating systems, software architectures, software development lifecycles, and development processes.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in team-based Agile/Scrum, DevOps, and test automation environments, plus strong problem-solving, communication, and technical-documentation skills.
