Base Salary
$218k - $291k/yr
Responsibilities
- Author Architecture Decision Records and influence technical strategy.
- Drive complex projects from inception through implementation across domains.
- Improve application performance, security, flexibility, and engineering velocity.
- Develop a long-term technology vision for modernizing systems.
- Uplevel teams through engineering practices, collaboration, culture, and tool-building.
- Share knowledge and mentor or coach team members.
- Lead root-cause analysis and implement long-term fixes for recurring platform issues.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional experience in native mobile development.
- Expertise in advanced Swift features, including generics and concurrency management.
- Experience with iOS dependency management tools such as SPM, CocoaPods, or Carthage.
- Deep understanding of system design for large-scale consumer mobile applications.
- Advanced networking experience, including stack migration, GraphQL, Protobuf, streaming protocols, and pub-sub systems.
- Strong decision-making, ownership, communication, learning, and collaboration skills.
- Experience mentoring and coaching engineers.
- Preferred experience building real-time user-facing systems such as live streaming, chat, bidding, collaboration tools, gaming, or financial trading.
- Preferred experience with high-traffic, event-driven products, capacity planning, traffic spikes, graceful degradation, root-cause analysis, WebSocket, and FGQL.
