Base Salary
$209k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, end-to-end design, and implementation of highly available, resilient cloud-native microservices, APIs, data contracts, and shared platform services.
- Provide technical vision for modernizing foundational customer data platforms and integrating evolving database technologies and distributed systems.
- Partner with product managers, database architects, and engineering leaders on technology direction, system architecture, regulatory compliance capabilities, and developer onboarding.
- Drive automation, observability, reliability, performance optimization, and reduced manual operations across distributed systems.
- Mentor technical talent, influence strategy across multiple engineering teams, and contribute to internal and external engineering communities.
- Lead architectural design reviews, influence enterprise-wide technical standards, and establish and enforce coding standards and design patterns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience is required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 9+ years of software development experience in two or more listed languages, and 5+ years contributing to open-source frameworks.
- Preferred experience includes modern front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, API platform architecture, GraphDB platforms, and traditional database management systems.
- Preferred experience includes distributed cloud-native platforms, serverless and container-based architectures, large-scale data processing, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred experience includes cloud troubleshooting, observability, reliability practices, performance optimization, mentoring senior engineers, and leading architectural reviews.
- Direct experience with AI-based coding tools, IDE copilots, and interactive AI tooling is preferred.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering initiatives and influencing technology strategy at the portfolio or business-unit level is preferred.
